Welcome to my Weekly Writing Wrap-Up for this week. Happy 4th of July to my U.S. readers!
Total Word Count for the Week: 5924
Top Writing Day: My top writing day was Thursday with 1,723 words.
What I Worked On: I worked on my Camp NaNoWriMo novel, Fences, and some fanfiction.
The Good News: NaNo’s been going well so far, and I’ve made my goal every day since it started!
The Bad News: I’m slightly worried about keeping the viewpoints switching back and forth and the story flowing nicely.
Lesson Learned: I usually only have one narrator. With Fences, however, I decided to switch things up and have two narrating characters, Bravery and Daxton. It’s been a ton of fun to write but also a lot harder than with just one character. I have to plan ahead where I want to switch to Dax’s voice and not repeat the scene I just wrote with Bravery. I also have to make sure that Bravery and Daxton’s voices sound different enough. Learning to write like this has been a continuing “lesson learned” these last couple days.
Goal for Next Week: My goal for next week is 1,667 words a day.
