Weekly Writing Wrap-Up: June 26 – July 9

Welcome to my Weekly Writing Wrap-Up. Since I took last week off, this is my Writing Wrap-Up for both weeks.

Total Word Count for the Week: 9,998

Top Writing Day: My top writing day was Wednesday with 1,388 words.

What I Worked On: I worked on Hunger Games fanfiction, my new novel, and editing Snow.

The Good News: Despite having a hectic week, I actually managed to get quite a lot of writing in, which I’m pleased about!

The Bad News: I had to rework my plot a bit because I forgot a scene that I needed to include.

Lesson Learned: This article from Go Teen Writers has some great advice for those of us who don’t use outlines. One of the points they bring up in the article that I really need to work on is making sure the backstory of your characters doesn’t creep into the story too much. You can read the article here: http://goteenwriters.blogspot.com/2015/06/tips-for-writers-who-dont-work-well.html

Goal for Next Week: My goal for next week is to continue to work on editing and make sure I write every day.

Thanks for reading!
